The carriage, outside the cover was covered with rust. The chrome layer was peeling off. The original iron and chromed parts of it are partly painted. The paper loosing handle is missing the top handle (broken). The display is missing the cover / iron window in the front. The first digit is not in alignment with the others. Probably the reason for removing the iron window. |

Machine story: | Despite enough shock absorption material during transport, the following parts where broken on arrival: a glass side window, one of the cast iron frame legs and a leg of the cast iron cover. The legs can be fixed with support plates. I will try to get a new glass window at the local glazier. mid nov 2010: After heavy cleaning and loosen the keyboard handles the machine is calculating perfect. Printing is not possible due to dry out of the special 4 cm wide ink ribbon. 04-01-2011: The printing unit has been cleaned and dismantled. One of the previous owners has repainted it on a unprofessional way. This affect all parts including the springs. All these part were cleaned by sandblasting and a steel brush on a drill machine. See the pictures. 04-03-2011. The fframe was repainted. The glass windows were mounted. and the machine appears fully functional. |
